The phone call
A musty smell when the system kicks in, one room that never cools, a dryer that needs two cycles — each of those points somewhere different. That first conversation is what decides whether the job is the ducts, the dryer line, or both, and whether somebody needs to get into the attic before anything is quoted.

Opening the system
Every supply register and return grille is unscrewed and set aside, and the air handler cabinet is opened. Until that is done, nobody — us included — knows what is in there. It is also where a problem that is not dirt shows itself: a ripped flexible run, duct tape that has given way, a register boot gone shaky in the wall cavity. Customers on our profile name all three.

Photographs before we touch it
The insides get photographed before the brush goes in, because a photograph taken afterwards proves nothing. Customers tell us this is the part they remember. One review says the tech showed them a video of the inside when he finished; another, that the crew took the time to explain the process and showed exactly what they were doing.

Vacuum on the line, brush through the run
The vacuum goes on the trunk first, so the system is under suction for the whole job and what we loosen travels into the equipment rather than onto your furniture. Then the brush works each run from the boot back to the plenum. One review puts it plainly: strong negative air equipment, so that no debris escaped into the living room.

The pile, the photographs, a swept floor
At the end you see the debris that came out, next to the photographs from before we started, and the photographs are yours. Then the floor gets swept — one review says the technicians were very careful with the furniture and left everything spotless, which is the part of the job nobody advertises and everybody notices.
